ContagionLive addresses its viewpoint on using face shields to inhibit transmission of COVID-1Michael B. Edmond, MD, MPH, MPA, MBA states that there is approximately a 96% reduction in contamination of a person when a face shield is worn on the receiver end and that if everyone wears a shield then the effectiveness would be even greater.
